The dove (2001) 9' María Zamakola

When a teacher tells the story of the cuckoo to his class, Usoa, a nine year old African girl adopted by a Basque family, thinks of her African mother who saved her from a war by buying an airline ticket for her and leaving her at the airport. The child associates her mother with the cuckoo, who, because she leaves her offspring in other birds’ nests, is judged to be a cheeky opportunist.
